"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." John F. Kennedy
In our inclusive classroom in Pennsylvania there are energetic, bright, curious, and vibrant third graders.
Every student in our classroom community is truly unique, and we are blessed to welcome every child, no matter how different they learn! My students are brimming with overwhelming potential. Each of my students has their own individual genius. To give each of them a fair chance to focus and access curriculum, we just need a few key tools.
My Project
With these SPED materials, my students, especially those with Autism, will have a tool kit to success in the classroom. Noise canceling headphones help to eliminate bothersome and sometimes upsetting noises. Weighted lap pads will provide comfort for anxious moments and encourage hyperactive students to exhibit bodily self-control. Reading strips will help reduce glare and promote active and focused tracking of text. Fidgets, whisper-phones, and sensory bars are all must-haves for diverse learners.
In our classroom community, we seek to create independent, self-determined, life-long learners.
By donating to our project, you are helping our students to eliminate large learning barriers and receive opportunities to meet academic goals.
