Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarten is a child's first introduction to learning. The items I am requesting in my project will help them have the tools they need to successfully grasp the material being taught. Students are using UFLI in which students are identifying letter sounds and building words. The mirrors will help students see to say a sound and help them work on correcting it. The writing manipulative will help them as they are learning their 3-sound words and distinguishing what letter makes the sound. The magnetic tens frame will help my students learn with hands-on learning in math. As kindergarten is the first introduction to school, they need to be moving. Wobble chairs will help my students who need the movement as they are sitting down in a safe way.

With this project, I aim to give my students more hands-on manipulatives to enhance their learning.

My students are excited to learn, and I am excited about everything that they have learned thus far, but I know that the materials I am asking for will push them to take ownership of their education and will excite them further to continue to learn.
