Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative, clever and very enthusiastic about learning. The majority of my students are from low income families and have little money to buy the tools they need to work at home. School will be closed due to the COVID-19 virus for the rest of the school year. This presents a challenge, as most of my students will not have the tools to continue working at home for the duartion of this time. Your support would bring necessary supplies to these future leaders.
My Project
The reality is that distance learning is so different from regular school. I miss my students and they miss coming to school! They need notebooks and pencils to do their daily writing. Some students are writing on scrap paper and the back of envelopes because they do not have any paper or notebooks. Some don't write at all. They need to learn and practice their sight words so they can become better readers so the daily sight word journal would help them with that learning. I would also like to supply them with some ELA practice journals and math practice journals to use over the summer so they can continue to learn.
My students deserve the best I can give them and your support will enable me to give them the tools to continue learning.
