Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I need your help to assist my students on a lifelong journey of learning.
I teach first grade at an public school in Boston, MA where all of my students are learning English as a Second Language.
The school serves students of many different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. All of my students speak another language at home and many are recent immigrants. These students are eager to learn and are already thinking about their future education. I am amazed by the passion they have for learning and you can help them meet their potential.
Unfortunately, our school does not have the resources that we need to give the students the tools that can help them discover their own promise. That is where you come in. By donating to this project, you will help a group of children have access to the resources that many of us take for granted.
My Project
These are all the materials that the students need to learn. We are running dangerously low on the necessities and with your donation we can get all the things we need! We need the pencils and erasers to write. The notebooks will be used for student to keep track of the sight words that they are learning. They will use the scissors to cut out the words and glue them into notebooks to keep track of the them. There are still some students who are learning their alphabet so they alphabet games will help them with that. Thank you for everything.
