Help me give my students a tool that will enable them to successfully record themselves, practice vocal parts with small groups, learn notation through several practice applications, record themselves for performance preparation, and share their music with family.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
CMS is a largely Hispanic population of students, and a beautiful array of backgrounds. A majority of the students are on free and reduced meals. These students work hard to overcome challenges and should be rewarded for their diligence. They love every opportunity to perform inside and outside the school. Getting to work with them is a joy and as I learn about their lives outside school, I want to enrich their lives as much as I can be exposing them to resources that enable them to do more.
My Project
CMS students are only exposed to Chromebooks and lack the valuable resources available through iPads. It’s my goal to eventually have a classroom set of iPads, but having 6 will give us a great start on our musical goals.
Students can use the iPads for taking parts that I send them and use them for small group practice.
Students can also use applications on the iPads to practice reading music notation. That will work for small groups for now, but is more advantageous one to one with iPads.
The school recently took several of my very dated Chromebooks, so now I don’t even have a classroom set of computers. This project will help fill that gap.
