This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school psychologist at a high school, I support students with everyday mental health and social-emotional needs. I try to help students develop tools and strategies that they can take with them throughout the school day and into their everyday lives. It is my hope that students will learn how to self-regulate when they encounter a variety of situations. High school students often have to navigate difficult social situations, balance academic and personal stressors, navigate pressures from social media, and deal with feelings of isolation. It is my hope that I can help provide tools and strategies that assist with reducing and managing anxiety and stress.
