My students come from all walks of life. Even though many of them come from high poverty backgrounds, they come in with a smile. I have a diverse group of students, who come together as a classroom family every day. I am pleasantly surprised how much they care for each other as well are other citizens in our community.
A few shining examples of student led projects include: a school wide kid to kid coat drive, trick or treat for UNICEF, and raising money for the Heifer International organization.
Students thought of these projects on their own through the inquiry based International Baccalaureate units.
These globally minded citizens are still kids, they enjoy learning through games. I am constantly coming up with new games for them to try out. I want to keep them engaged and moving forward by hiding content in a game. Please help me support them as they support others.
My Project
These materials are simply too expensive for a classroom teacher to purchase independently. These materials will be in a tub that can be passed among 4 classrooms. They will be used during inside recess as well as a centers for both math and ELA. I could also see them becoming a resource that gets checked out throughout the school. The games are made of quality materials that will stand up to kid use.
By donating these games and markers to my school team, you will be directly supporting four classrooms or around 120 students.
This order supplies enough for a classroom to play the same game in pairs. Having enough for students to partner, means more engagement and less down time for each individual student. Without a donor like you, we will not be able to have these quality learning games in our classroom.
