The students that I have the pleasure to teach are some of the most amazing, diverse people I have ever met. These students come to school each day excited and ready to learn. These students comes from different parts of the city, as well as all their enthusiasm makes work such a joy and makes me want to better myself.
I wish that all teachers could be as lucky as I am to work in such a wonderful environment.
Going to work each day is something that I truly enjoy, and I have my students to thank!
My school is a very old building. The district, and our school supplies us with new technology, and resources all of the time. Unfortunately, furniture tends to go without being updated.
My Project
Just last year, with your help, brand new tables were provided for my class. I had been teaching in the same classroom for several years. Over time, I had collected the perfect size chairs for my classroom. I have currently moved to 2nd grade, and have taken over a 1st grade classroom. The chairs in my new classroom are just too small for 2nd graders. These learners have been sitting in these tiny seats since they were in Kindergarten.
Students need a comfortable spot to call their own.
We use flexible seating throughout the day, but students spend the majority of their time in our classroom at their seats. It is my wish that they can do so comfortably. I am hoping you can help!
