Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students all qualify for special education due to reading fluency, reading comprehension, basic reading skills and writing. The students are hard working and can often get discouraged when they can't read grade level text.
My students are from low-income families that don't have a lot of resources to help students with supplies and books.
This means they often get discouraged and feel defeated in the classroom, which makes them fall behind even further.
Our school is an amazing school with even more amazing students who deserve the best!
My Project
I am asking for multi level books for my students to have in the classroom library. I would love to add more creative and imagination books to my class collection, my students picked out some great books! I am also asking for some push pins for school work to be displayed so they can be prideful in their work. I would also like some classroom borders for bulletin boards to put students work up. I would also like the positive affirmation stickers to have for students to see throughout my classroom. I would also like to have a calendar for my students to have in class so they can see what day it is.
