Toner Turned Off
My students need black toner for the laser printer and for our ink jet printer.
I teach three seventh grade classes of English Language Arts. Our school is located in an area of high poverty. For the first time in years I am teaching an all general education population. I intend to make sure that all their needs are met every day.
The school has suffered many budget cuts that have left us with NO money to purchase anything other then mandated material; however, none of district issues have detracted from my students' desire to learn.
Our school year with the kids is going awesome! Our school year with supplies it going awful. We have none! This district did not even order toner for our old classroom ink jets printers. I use that printer to print off rough drafts and worksheets that I can't get to the big copier downstairs. Our Donor's Choose Laser Color Printer is almost completely out of black ink, even after I put it on ink saving mode and am using last years black cartridge that I purchased. The laser printer is for final copies and projects that involve color. If we don't get ink so we will have no way to print students work in my classroom.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
