Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are immigrants or first generation in this country. In my classroom I teach them English and proper Spanish. My students are bilingual students who are learning English and also maintaining they native language tongue. They are excited to be in school and they deserve to be in an inviting learning atmosphere. My students will appreciate having new furniture because they come from low income homes were they don't have new furniture and sometimes they don't even have their own bedroom. My students deserve to have what other students in a high income neighborhood already have. I would like for them to feel happy and welcome being in my classroom.
My Project
This project will create an exciting and inviting environment where my kids will learn and be motivated. The classroom is home away from home and I want my students to be happy and comfortable. It's wonderful for my students to be able to learn in a more flex seating instead of the traditional classroom having only desks. Every child learns in a different way and that is why I want them to choose where they want to sit. I want them to have options if they want to sit on a ball, sit on a pillow or stand because they know what helps them to learn. It will make a difference because they have ownership of their style of learning.
