This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The kids in Project Backpack experience food instability and do not have the funds to purchase daily hygiene needs. As such, we are assisting in providing these students with their basic needs for the daily toilette. This includes shampoo, conditioner, lotion, lip balm, and tissues for 60 children.

Thus the purchase of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, lip balm, and tissues will allow these students to come to school less self-conscious and more importantly clean!

These children do not have the funds at home to purchase these items, in fact, many go hungry on a regular basis (or would without our intervention).
