Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright inquisitive students with a thirst for knowledge. We have worked hard this year to build a wonderful community of learners where my students feel safe and secure.
They come from a low-income area where many face emotional and social instability.
My students require healthy learning and exploration for optimal brain development to enable them to overcome a home environment that may be stressful and even unsafe at times. Many are homeless or living with family members and do not have the supplies they need to keep up with their assignments.
My Project
My students have very little supplies to learn at home. While my district was able to provide Chromebooks to most some do not have access to the internet, your donation will allow for both types of students to learn. I will hold small group Zoom meetings and use the whiteboards to allow students to interact with me. We will use them during math, and literacy activities. Without the whiteboards, I would have a challenging time gauging understanding. For those students without internet, we will use packets and your donation will provide them with think boards that allow them to work out problems.
Your donation is crucial to their success as a student!
Your donation will allow me to reach all students no matter their circumstances! Thank you for making a difference during this trying time. Together we can!
