Help me give my students an opportunity to thrive both in the classroom and at home with an oversized rug and chairs to be used in a new parent center on the campus of our school.

The students of my school enter our building each and every day ready to learn. Some come prepared, ready and equipped with strong parental support. Others come lacking the same. However, it is our goal to engage each and every family in the learning and academic success of their children. We believe that parental involvement is of the utmost importance in reaching the students of today so they will be equipped for tomorrow.
Our school is a Title One School and many of our students come from low-income homes, thirsty and seeking knowledge and information within the classroom.
We believe that despite where our students come from, their parents want to assist and be involved. Many do not know how exactly to help their students. We want to provide them with every means available to be successful at home.
We strongly believe every student will reach their greatest potential as long as expectations are high, students are engaged and families are equipped.
"At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents" (Jane D. Hull). This project will provide funding to assist in the completion of a parent center on our school campus. This center will provide a safe place for parents to come ask questions, gain information and receive resources to best help their students at home.
At our elementary school, we are committed to the success of all students and believe that it takes a collaborative effort by teachers, students and parents to reach academic success.
By having a parent center located on our campus, it is our goal to provide a warm and welcoming environment where parents are encouraged to visit and obtain resources that will best meet the needs to their children. Working together, we can make a difference, one student at a time.
