My Students

I work with students district-wide. Some of our struggling readers are not inclined to read as much. The one thing that they need so desperately! “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

My students have difficulties reading and writing fluently.

Sometimes, they can not remember how to make a letter or how to read a word. However, they are absolutely brilliant in so many ways. Our school encourages ALL of our learners to discover our strengths. We all matter and can make a difference in our world.

My Project

With this technology, my students can access audio-books with text and highlighters. They can read ANY story on her interest level, not just her reading level. They can also learn to recognize and differentiate between letters and word patterns through adaptable learning apps. This technology is highly motivating, and the students love to do their work in this manner.

It's all about accessibility for my students.

I have a precious, but small amount of time to work with each of them. This project will allow more of my students to have access to many helpful resources in a highly efficient manner. As we work daily with each other on a consistent basis, we can reach our goals together.
