My Students

I love my students because of the diversity and joy they bring in my classroom. I teach middle school because I know it will never be the same everyday. The students in my class are from different backgrounds and have had different experiences within their lives. My hope is as students work in my classroom they become a community and learn from each other.

The goal in my classroom is to gain trust, respect, and curiosity between my students, their community and myself!

My Project

With this table students will be able to comfortably move around and learn together more efficiently. Students will be able to find new ways to work together and can use many different resources at one work sight. With the hands on approaches I use in mathematics students need space where they are not dropping things off their desk.

When students have access to space they have access to learning, growing, and collaborating in new mathematical ways.

The space they use helps them to learn from each other and gives opportunities for groups to work all together on a single project.
