My Students

Kindergarten is where it all begins! My tiny humans deserve an environment and education that is exciting, engaging, and challenging with a holistic approach that will flow into all aspects of their learning and lives, in the classroom and outside into the world around them.

Our school is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) charter school where learning is student-centered and inquiry-based. Students take academic risks to deepen their understanding of the world around them while also building a strong sense of self through perseverance and self-regulation.

My Project

My kindergarteners are learning to become readers and need your support! Reading is something we all do every day of our lives. It is how we learn, communicate, relax, and even express ourselves. Becoming a reader is hard work and takes a lot of practice, and my kiddos are putting in their best effort.

If fulfilled, this project will provide my students with leveled readers to give them the practice needed to master each skill during our small reading groups.

I currently have 23 students who are all on varying reading levels and require different books. The books requested in this project will help set my students up to enter the first grade on or above reading level.
