This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the hardest workers around. They are expected to be fluent readers by the third grade. Many are, but some are not. I am lucky enough to work with the intervention group of third graders at my school.

Their confidence is growing as they see that they, too, can be good readers.

It's important that they have a variety of decodable text that they can work on at school and at home.

These varied levels of Orton Gillingham Decodable Readers will help me to create reading packets, based on their current levels and needs. This will also promote a positive learning environment while allowing my students to continue blossoming into confident, independent readers.
