Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have been developing their reading Lexile level. It has been a very challenging year as our school did not meet state requirement scores. Reading is always a challenge for students more for the ones that are learning english as their second language.
The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
My students come from a background of not having the opportunity to read a novel throughout their years of education. Our first novel was "The Giver" we had so much fun making prediction and learning to connect the book to our society. Our second novel was "The Outsiders" my students really loved reading this book as they could relate to their real life situations.
Our district has gone to technology, and all students have received a laptop. I am asking for two Mac laptops as a couple of my students don't have one because guardians have decline the permission or they have a non working laptop.
My class evolves in creating projects, using schoology to make the students have the opportunity to enjoy a lesson as they learn the TEKS being taught. Thank you!
My Project
Students will be using technology devices in class to enhance their learning ability to make reading more fun and exciting.
They will also be able to use them to create different projects that go with the TEKS that are being taught.
It is important for students to have access to a computer individual to make their learning expectations more challenging for the future of their education.
They will be doing powerpoint, Imovies, schoology, and also be use for research. Making a difference in their reading ability to build their knowledge and skill to prepare them for high school. My students would really appreciate your help to make their learning skills easier to accomplish.
