My Project

My students, all students, deserve equal opportunity to learn. Reading is such an essential part of life. As students learn to read and write, they will grow in their knowledge of the world, stimulate their imagination, and learn to be empathic people who see things beyond their own perspectives.

As a first year teacher, I want to expand our classroom library and classroom supplies in order to support my brilliant and ambitious students in their reading, writing, and social emotional skills.

My students have shown a greater love for reading as they learn to decode words and read books at their reading level. I know these books will continue to encourage and spark their interest in independent reading! Each book and item added to this project willing immensely support my students in their learning. From a diverse selection of books to flexible seating, it is my hope and dream that my students can have the resources they need to learn and succeed in a supportive and well supplied classroom.
