Help me give my students some great books to read. My students are young English Language learners that would really appreciate leveled book for their pleasure.
Our school has amazing young children who have settled in Brooklyn but emigrated from Poland, Albania, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Guatemala. They are discovering themselves and their skills as English Language learners and have an amazing desire to work and learn. Limited budgets do not always provide for books to meet the language needs.
My students need books to meet their reading success goals.
We have to make do with our limited budgets but these back to basic books will help us. This assists the learning process in the most important way.
My Project
My students need leveled books to develop their reading skills with interesting stories. Reading helps ENL students improve their conversational skills. Reading increases their vocabulary and knowledge of how to correctly use new words. With ENL students reading helps them articulate new things they want to say. In addition, children can travel to new adventures through a book. They can develop writing and critical thinking skills and they can also improve their focus and concentration. A good book motivates a student to do more. It allows them to become creative thinkers. Let’s help them read more. Thank you for your consideration.
