This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is full of energetic kindergarteners who are full of imagination and wonder. Nothing brings out their imagination more than getting lost in book that takes them to far away lands, interacting with animals or traveling through space!

They are learning to become independent readers by reading books based on their guided reading level that gives them the confidence to continue reading. Reading levels in my class range and a complete, and fully stocked library is an essential part of any classroom. Students use the library to choose books for independent reading during the week, as well as to take books home for reading. However, our library can use a batch of new and fun books for my students to indulge in.
My Project
My students are learning to become independent readers by reading books based on their guided reading levels.
