My Students
Do you remember the curiosity you had as a child? Provide the books that will stimulate students' learning!
The students in our school are eager to grow and learn. This is a very diverse school, with students coming from a variety of backgrounds. Sixty-eight percent of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. These students are hard working and strive to always do their best!
My Project
Picture a room full of students that is completely silent. All you can hear is the sound of turning pages. That it is exactly what it is like every day in my classroom during read-to-self time. My students love reading! Over the year they have made their way through our small classroom library. We need more books! We need more variety! This project will bring over 30 highly engaging books into our classroom.
This project will improve my students reading by providing them with highly engaging texts from a variety of different genres. With the fulfillment of this project, learning and great ideas will be realized and as Dr. Seuss said, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
