Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 21 students are developing a love for reading and writing. During distance learning, major learning gaps were created that we have not seen before, and it is important to reinforce literacy now more than ever. Items included on my list such as flexible seating, decodable books, and manipulatives will help my students with their reading and writing at various levels and meet the needs of IEP accommodations we have in place in the classroom. As a first-year teacher, I am still building up my box of tools and I think these items could really help build my students’ literacy skills and help them be successful.
