Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Stephen King once said, "To write is human, to edit is divine." Our class is in need of a working printer to help us with the final step of the writing process.
My students would benefit greatly from having a working printer in our classroom to publish our writing.
It is a public school located in a major city in California with more than 80% of the students receiving free and/or reduced school lunch. These students love to write essays, stories, and research reports. They are curious, excited to learn, and dream of a bright future.
My Project
My students will be learning about the writing process this year. We will be brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, and finally publishing.
We have an old printer in our classroom that is over 7 years old. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. A new printer would help us with our final step in writing. Students will be able to use the printer to publish their Gold Rush reports, California Research Project, Math Projects, and essays.
It would be wonderful to have a reliable printer that students will be able to use in the classroom. Thank you for your consideration.
Publishing is one of the most exciting steps in writing.
Students will able to create a writing portfolio filled with this year's work with the aid of a printer. This in turn, will motivate students to become excited about writing.
