Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a strong agriculture community. Most of my students live in extreme poverty and are first generation high school graduates with the hope of being first generation college grads. They are working hard to break the cycle of poverty. My kids deserve the best I can teach them with.

I teach public safety.

My students are learning about careers in law enforcement, corrections and fire sciences. I am shaping the future leaders of our community by teaching cutting-edge STEM technology.

My Project

Virtual reality allows me to provide my students with experiences that I could not otherwise do in the classroom. These stand alone VR goggles do not require the use a cell phone to use them. Many of my students do not have internet capabilities with their personal phones making virtual reality activities very hard to do in class. These goggles would be a game changer in my classroom in so many different ways as virtual experiences are growing leaps and bounds.

Please help me bring some extra technology to my students so that they may see the world in virtual goggles.
