My students need the iPads for the Austin Cub News crew to prep, prepare, and deliver our morning announcements and award presentations for our students to watch and enjoy.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school services Pre-K through 4th grade and we have a news cast every day to let the other students know what is happening in our school for the day.
My students are talented, creative, and energetic My students learn how to incorporate technology into their daily lives.
The students enjoy reading and watching local events happen around the school. When the students are working on projects in the library they use equipment that is readily available and they take good care of the equipment.
My Project
The project that my students will do is learn how to use the iPad APPs (iMovie, Sock Puppet, and other news worthy APPs) to develop, create, and share with the entire student body.
Austin Cub Newies is a group of 4th graders that film happenings such as, birthdays or any special announcement that occur at our school throughout the week.
The students learn how to research stories, locate birthdays, and present the stories to the school.
The iPads that I am requesting will help get additional stories filmed, edited, and special effects added to our announcements for the day. The students will be able to film directly to specified APPs that are used at our school.
My students were hit with devastation from Hurricane Harvey and a couple of my news team students lost items. The news team wants to bring positive attitudes to the school because so many were hurt, that updated iPads will help the team produce better stories of Hope.
