Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. We have claimed our community as ours. We are in an inner city and need support to fulfill our curriculum.
I teach at a school in Connecticut where one hundred percent percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. Full of spirit, mind and uniqueness, my students have built our classroom from the materials we have. We are so fortunate to have found so many donated materials but to continue our learning... We need more.
My Project
Pencils, Folders, erasers, and headphones will help us continue our journey to become third grade learners.
With many of our activities and programs being online headphones are a necessity.
The requested headphones will help to meet frustration needs and competition in the classroom. Students learning will be individualized through their own chromebook adventures.
Student success will soar with the help of adding to our supplies!
As the end of the year dwindles down, our supply closet has become less full. Pencils are a necessity for student learning. Folders are useful for student organization as the year comes to the end. Students are now given more tasks to keep organized!
