This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
First day of school: 100 pencils, 64 crayons, 20 pens, 12 rulers, and 10 notebooks. Mid-year: 1 pencil you found on the ground of the classroom.
I teach 3rd grade at an urban Title I school in TN.
My students did a great job of bringing in supplies at the beginning of the year, but we have run out!
My classroom is full of diverse learners. My students are energetic and love learning in engaging ways. They are goal setters and work hard to achieve those goals every day. They are working on becoming proactive and taking care of their school materials. I strive to create a classroom environment which fosters independent learners.
My Project
Supplies, supplies, supplies. For some reason it seems as if we can never have enough! The materials I am requesting are supplies we use each day but are running out of. My students need basic school supplies to support their learning. Pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, erasers, and Post-It notes are essential supplies of our classroom. Having adequate supplies available creates an enthusiastic learning environment for my students. The candy treats will be used as treats to reinforce positive behavior. With these supplies, students will be able to participate in classroom learning activities. These supplies are important tools for student learning. Please help us get these classroom essentials that keep our days running smoothly.

We have 6 months of school left but we are almost out of supplies. We desperately need our supplies to be refreshed so that we can end our year successfully!
