Imagine being asked to learn the exact same way that everyone else does, but the problem is that you're not everyone else. You don't learn the same way or at the same pace. You're unique and special and deserve every tool available for success! That's our class; we are all different and need different tools to help aid our success.
In our classroom we have 28 curious, engaged, creative, powerful, little minds wanting to learn create, explore and grow daily.
In our pirate themed class, we unite each day knowing that we are creating a school family built on communication and connection. These students come from various backgrounds around Goodyear, Arizona.
We love to read, create vivid writing pieces, team build and learn to problem solve math equations in both small and whole group settings!
At our school, our children come to learn and grow and nurture their curious minds for the future!
My Project
Using math centers and reading intervention centers in my clasroom will provide much-needed review, practice, and enrichment for students that is differentiated to meet students' needs and interests.
Student led math and reading centers will help differentiate learning, teach independence, aid self motivation, and help students take risks without fear of failure all while mastering content and skills.
My students will use both the math and reading centers during small group, and independent
work times. The students will use the reading center texts to help develop many reading skills such as: reading to find the main idea/details, making inferences, sequencing events, identifying themes and authors purpose. These texts and math standard games will help ALL readers and mathematicians become independent, skilled and confident.
