My students are in need of laptop computers and a computer charging cart to help them get the most out of their education. My school is committed to the education of their students and is very active within the community.
My students need computers and a safe place to keep them to help bring our science classroom into the 21st century.
I teach 7th grade in Bayside, NY. Many of my students are new to this country and speak a variety of different languages. Each student brings his or her own diverse background and experiences to the classroom. But the one thing they all have in common is there passion to learn. I try to utilize many different learning techniques and strategies to best reach all the students. The ability to do research in the room or watch a relevant video on the topic will only enhance what my students can get from a lesson.
My Project
My students are in need of a laptop charging cart which will give us a safe place to store and charge the beautiful new Chromebooks we received from our previous Donors Choose project. Each child is assigned a Chromebook number and a cart will make checking out and returning their Chromebooks easy, safe, and efficient. Students will know that they are using the correct Chromebook making their learning time easier to login to their accounts, complete their virtual labs, web quests, and research. Students will always be guaranteed a charged computer and we won't have to untangle cords anymore! Mine and my students time will be spent learning and not cleaning up messy tangled wires. At times my room is also used by other programs. I will be relieved to know that our computers are locked up safe and out of reach from visitors.
