My students need activity tables and some wobble seats so that we can move forward with our flexible seating initiative! They also need a table to do STEM projects!
My students are bright and creative third graders who are eager to learn. They love sharing their ways of learning with others and are problem solvers by nature. They come from a working-class community. My student amaze me every day with the obstacles they overcome and their perseverance in difficult situations. They are kind and caring and are the most helpful children I know.
My classroom is a host of many different learning needs since my students learn and problem solve in their own special way.
My students LOVE to move, talk, sing, and draw pictures. With the changing of administration in our district, big changes are coming to our school including 1-1 technology, a push toward flexible seating, and STEM making its debut into the classroom! We are more than excited to begin these changes as the students I know will be up for the challenge!
My Project
These activity tables and wobble seats will benefit my students tremendously. We are a classroom that focuses on hands-on projects, while learning in a flexible and comfortable environment. We will be getting rid of our traditional desks and moving to seating that students will be able to choose from.
"Maker Spaces" are becoming very popular in classrooms today.
My hope is that I can transform my classroom into a space of choice, a place of creativity, and a place of ingenuity! As a district, we will be going 1-1 with technology next year. This means that we can add another element of learning into our daily routines. My classroom space needs to catch up with the type of learning experiences that are available now!
