Hi, thank you for taking interest in my students. I'm a sixth grade science teacher in a diverse, low-income setting (high poverty area). I love when students learn through hands-on labs, activities, field trips, and technology. Students learn better with experience and examples, and I like to utilize that in the classroom. Every student deserves the opportunity to experience everything science has to offer. I appreciate all acts of kindness to fund "experiences" for my students. Thank you! Go science!
When it comes to research, students usually groan. They don't think it's fun but that it's all about boring reading. I'm hoping to change their views on that thought. Research should be fun and with the Scholastic News readers and New True Books: Space, I believe they'll enjoy researching. These books offer easy reading and lots of pictures for visuals. They will definitely keep the students engaged and interested in learning more.
Students will be over the moon (pun intended) with these fantastic books about the solar system.
Having these books in the classroom will give the students the opportunity to pick through a variety of books for their project...they will no longer be limited to a few options.
Thank you for looking through our project and helping us to infinity...and beyond!
