My students need a tablet to bring learning to life, make learning more interactive, and stay up-to-date with technology needs to prepare them for the future.
This project expired on June 4, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Believe it or not, I'm still teaching using an overhead projector like in the 1960s! What better way to add excitement to our classroom learning environment than to incorporate the technology that students already use at home? With this tablet, I can show students demonstrations and make learning fun.
Most of our students are on free or reduced price lunch.
They are eager teenagers preparing to take charge in the world. They are deciding what to do after high school graduation. Should they go to college, work full-time, join the military, or go to technical school? A tablet is a great way for them to see the different options they have and peak their interests. I could show them how the concepts we're learning in class apply to the real world through demonstrations, etc. These students need motivation to stay focused on learning. They are mostly 11th graders preparing to take college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT. They would love the new addition to our classroom!
A tablet used to be the wave of the future; now it's the way of the present! Teaching is becoming obsolete due to the lack of technology and resources available to schools. Learning can come to life with this simple gadget. Students will be inspired to explore concepts learned further. I could make learning more meaningful by SHOWING rather than telling. What innovative ways to teach!
It is so important to get the right technological tools into the hands of our high school students.
They are our future leaders and developers. Many of them cannot afford such technology themselves. As a teacher, I am committed to bringing the best to educating my students. Your help in funding this project will mean the world to them.
