My 6th grade students are the best! They are creative, intuitive, and excited about the science world around us. They range in ages from 10-13.
Our upper elementary school houses the entire city's 5th and 6th grade students, which can reach up to 970 enrolled students.
Because we house the entire city, our socioeconomic status varies greatly. Some of my students come from a non-technological home, wherein they lack the technology resources in which my other students have access. I want to offer them the same advantages in my classroom to to be able to research and complete in-class projects and district required programs.
Help me help our future generations become independent and successful learners.
Because my students' futures are moving toward a technological society, so are their careers. Help me build a better future for my students by offering them access to technology that will help increase their awareness in scientific processes that are currently happening, not only here at home, but around the world.
Not only will my students be able to complete district required programs on these Chromebooks, but we will be able to research, create, and build on our knowledge throughout the year by completing PowerPoints, Prezis, Videos, etc.
Sixth grade science incorporates life, physical, and Earth and space sciences. How exciting for my students!
