The students at my school are primarily socio-economically disadvantaged and English Language Learners. Our families are loving and hardworking, but most are living well below the poverty line. Students come to school each day eager to learn and do their best.
This past October, our campus was closed due to structural corrosion and mold damage.
We are currently busing more than 400 students 5.7 miles to another campus.
Our students face many adversities in their everyday life. This project will help to bring stability and structure to their school day.
This past October, structural damage was found on our campus, prompting immediate closure of the school. Our students missed a week of school while our staff did their best to recreate our campus at another school site. We are currently transporting over 400 students by bus to another campus 5.7 miles away.
At our current campus, our TK & K students do not have access to a playground during their lunch recess.
With your help, we would like to create an area just for our littlest learners. This project would help them to release pent up energy and have fun!
