Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning we greet each other at the door and students begin their day. We are working towards reading cvc words, sight words, and writing 2-3 sentences by the end of Kinder. In math we aim to be writing to 100 and adding within 10. Students love to learn in fun interactive ways and are excited
My students are TK and Kinder students ages 4-6.
They are very motivated and full of energy with a love of learning that we want to keep ignited. We are in a Low Income school with very involved parents and families. Our school works hard to give the students the best education possible.
In our classrooms you will find the leaders of today and tomorrow, well educated students not only academically but socially. Mannerism is just as important and students work hard to help each other succeed.
My Project
Students will be using the leap pads to practice their reading, math, and science skills in a more individualized setting. This will become a center accessible to students when they complete their lessons. The LeapPads will also be available to students during indoor recess and lunch for the upcoming rainy days.
This project will make a difference for my students because they will have access to technology in an age appropriate form.
The technology we have is fantastic and it's important that we allow students to use their interests in an environment that will help them be successful learners. They love apps and games, this is a great opportunity to use their love of technology and gear it towards their achievement academically.
