My Students

This year I have a combination class. I love how the two different grade levels came together as one classroom community and it just feels like family. I have the awesome opportunity to loop up with my fourth graders from last year and I am excited to see more student relationships form as I teach another combination class.

These students are excited to come to school and take pride in their learning.

I am proud to be their teacher and cannot wait to start the school year.

My Project

This year I am so pumped to loop up with my fourth graders from last year and teach another combination class. I am in need of new class sets for us to read during our reading block.

I searched for books that will capture my students' minds and keep them engaged during literacy instruction.

After much research, I have determined that Bud, Not Buddy, by Christopher Paul Curtis and Out of My Mind, by Sharon Draper will be the perfect fit for my classroom.

I am confident that the themes carried in these two novels will teach the students in my classroom valuable life long lessons.
