My students need tissues. During this flu and allergy season, my students need tissues everday. Unfortunately my school doesn't provide tissues therefore I have to purchase them for my students.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are sixth graders. Many of my students are ELL students, learning English as a new language. They are always eager to learn.

We are a city school, located in a low economic community.

Most of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our students bring what they can in the beginning of the school year for their supplies. Some of the students cannot bring any supplies.

This project will benefit all 125 students who I see every day.

My Project

These tissues will ensure that my students are able to wipe their runny noses and watery eyes as needed. When a student is really in need of a tissue, they have to go to the bathroom and use a rough bathroom paper towel or go to another classroom to get a tissue. Not only is this uncomfortable, but they are missing valuable instructional time by having to leave the classroom to get a paper towel or a tissue from another room. If the students had tissues, they would be able to stay in the classroom and continue learning without interruption.
