Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a major inner-city district and usually do not have many resources at hand, but are always wanting to learn more about the cultures of others. They come from challenging backgrounds and fight hard to overcome these challenges.

My students are always thankful for those helping with their education.

Being in an inner-city school has its challenges and outside help for their schooling is a great way to show my students that they are not forgotten and people want them to be successful in their lives.

My Project

An upgraded pencil sharpener is needed our classroom. The one that we have in the class, has seen better days! The one that we have in class is slow, and will chew up the student's pencil a few times before it sharpens their pencil to "perfection."

With winter coming, we need tissues!

The classroom supply of tissues is running low, and we need to make sure that we keep our students and the classroom safe. Always having tissues at the ready is vital in a classroom with so many students, especially during the wintertime.
