"Smart is not what you are. Smart is what you become with hard work!" Our network is made up of three elementary charter schools that branch into a middle school. No matter the differentiation, we share a single vision, "to use education as a lever for transforming our city from a community of despair to a community of hope and vitality."
Welcome to my school, where we're unleashing potential and transforming community!
Our school is made up of single gender classrooms and caters to empowering African American children and leading them towards excellence! This year marks the second year our school will be at the new location. Our move and success is just one part of the overall plan to leverage the community out of poverty through education!
This year I am teaching third grade girls! My students are some of the sweetest, most caring, and talkative girls you will run into! Their bond with one another and kindness towards one another will melt your heart. One goal I have for my girls this year is to build their self confidence and help them see that they are capable of accomplishing greatness!
My Project
We've reached the middle of the school year and already my scholars and our classroom are missing some of the essential items needed to keep our classroom functioning properly.
We are heading into cold and flu season and our classroom has run out of tissues and sanitizer!
We are also running low on Lysol wipes for cleaning and sanitizing our desks and surfaces!
The girls enjoy breakfast in our rooms everyday and are often in need of paper towels to wipe up spills and crumbs. All of these things help the girls and I keep our space tidy and and fresh, as well as ourselves!
The last important item we are in need of is a pencil sharpener. Both our electric sharpener and our manual sharpener are out of commission.
We greatly appreciate having some of these little things to help us get through our day!
