Help me give my students multicultural clothing, so they can grow up respecting cultures from around the world.

My pre-kindergarten students are full of energy when they come in to start their day of learning. They are rambunctious at times and ready to get started. We start our day with me serving them breakfast, and then we share in the clean-up. My students look forward to our morning activities which begin with me reading them a story. After storytime, they have an opportunity to play and learn in various centers, including dramatic play, library, sandbox, and water station.
My young students are from 3 to 5 years of age and live in one of the "most dangerous" cities in the U.S.
It is labeled as having one of the highest poverty rates as well. Yet, these smiling faces come to school each day ready to learn and play!
Even the youngest of learners need an understanding of the importance of diversity and the cultures of others. My students are at the developmental stages of understanding their world and the different people that comprise it. Our class is composed of mostly African-American and Hispanic children. My students rarely ever leave their community. Therefore, I would like to introduce my students to other cultures from around the world, so that they can get a glimpse of other communities and their cultures. We are beginning our "Clothes Study" unit and these traditional clothing would benefit us greatly.
It is my hope that they will learn to appreciate and value the rich cultures that others have.
I want them to celebrate our differences as they embrace the unique qualities of others. The Lakeshore Multicultural Clothing Set, will be used in my dramatic play area to help my students explore, accept, and appreciate the the diversity and cultures of others.
