Help me give my students letter tiles to build words, timers to help them practice their reading fluency, and magnetic place value blocks to visualize their math fluency skills.
The students in my class are full of energy, social, happy, and eager to learn and grow. They learn in so many ways. Having hands-on activities, and exploratory activities are some of their favorite ways to learn.
Many students in my class come from families with high socioeconomic homes, but I'm often reminded that not all do.
There are some children in my class that does not have much at home or have both parents working many jobs. All of my students strive to achieve the expectation set for them and work really hard!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning in many aspects. First, the large timer is going to help my students who have anxiety. They like to know what is happening and when. The visual timer will help them know when the next transition is coming. The small-timers will help my students as they improve their reading fluency. Letter tiles will help my students learn and practice their phonics patterns.
My students have place value blocks, but with the magnetic blocks, my students will be able to easily see me model what they are supposed to do with their blocks.
Finally, the books in my project will help my students learn kindness and opinion writing.
