Journalism is an exciting, challenging, and fun elective class. Being a Husky member of the school newspaper is an awesome responsibility for the student staff that produces the school newspaper for the Husky staff, students, parents, and community.
The Journalism class is to empower and support all students in the expression of their ideas through writing interviewing, researching, photojournalism and video production.
Along with writing articles for the newspaper, students are also encouraged to pursue their talents and strengths by learning how to produce the news on video to add to our online newspaper.
The journalism students are an enthusiastic group with leadership skills and enjoy working together writing, taking pictures and videotaping events for articles about their peers, the school, and the community.
My Project
The journalism students are seeking a video camera to capture the visual representation of their stories and add a video news section to our online newspaper. The students will learn how to capture and edit the videos from school events throughout the school year.
Adding a video section to our online newspaper is a new and exciting element for the students to learn.
Journalism does not receive school money to fund our newspaper operations and expenses, and, by donating to our class, you will help to improve and increase the students' learning of the Journalism process and give them the opportunity to learn skills that they can ultimately use in the future.
