My Students

The second grade students at my school are a unique group of children. They come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. These students also have very diverse learning needs. We come from the largest elementary school in our city with over 500 students.

Second graders love school and enjoy learning new things.

My students are hard working, fun-loving kids. I wish for them to have the same opportunities as children in more privileged school districts. Given the chance, every child can soar!

My Project

We're approaching the mid-way point of the school year and a few of our supplies need to be replenished! We use whiteboard markers several times during our school day. We go through them quickly and could use some new ones soon.

Classroom leaders are taking charge of jobs in our classroom.

Library envelopes will help us create a job chart that students can easily choose and swap out leadership roles in our classroom.

Our new language arts program has a lot of visuals, including vocabulary cards. We are quickly filling up the pocket charts that we have and could use some new ones for our upcoming units.
