Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the leaders of tomorrow. The challenges they face today will prepare them for the achievements they will strive to make in their lives, their communities and their world, in the future. They and their families inspire me to face any and all obstacles with energy, joy, and hope. They come to school, daily, determined to learn all they can. Putting time and resources into my students is an investment for a bright and promising future for us all.
My Project
Time Magazine will give my young students access to current events. My students will engage in meaningful conversations about our world. I hope they have conversations about how they will get involved and help make the world a better place. This will also have them reading more which will make them better readers. Better readers make excellent leaders and citizens. What better way to use their reading skills than by using it to become informed citizens? I think Time Magazine is a great way to get them going with these goals. With your help, they will reach these social and reading goals.
