Our school is located near the Western tip of North Carolina, in a rural community. My students are eager learners who are always willing to help and support others, regardless of their own daily hardships.
My 2nd grade students are enthusiastic learners who LOVE to learn!
They are hands-on learners and love to explore while learning. My students love to come to school and are curious about learning new things. Your donation will greatly benefit these students, and will forever be a memory they cherish.
In the spring, for our science standards, our 2nd grade class will be learning about the chick life cycle. We will incubate the fertilized eggs for 24 days, and during that time, our class will learn about what is happening inside the egg each day. I also connect it to our reading standards. We read books and do projects based on the information we gather from chicks, chickens, and the life cycle of them.
This is an experience of a lifetime for students to get to watch baby chicks hatch from their eggs in the spring.
Last year, the incubator in our class broke and we were unsuccessful with hatching chicks. My students were very discouraged, I want this year to be a different experience for my students.
