My students are so amazing. Their beautiful classroom was flooded in Hurricane Harvey along with some of their homes. We started school a month later than planned at a church in town. We actually began the year sharing a classroom with another kindergarten class from a sister school in the district. Each class went half a day in the room. The students never complained and always overcame. We now attend school a full day at the church as have the sunday school room all to ourselves.
They are neat, flexible, focused, smart, and talented just to name a few of their attributes.
They are truly unique!
My Project
My students lost their furniture they used for center time! My students will need some storage shelves to place their books in. My kindergartners absolutely love playing teacher and reading to their friends so the book display is perfect for them! My students need storage shelves to place their reading and math manipulatives. Kindergarten is all about using objects to help them learn and using their hands to refine motor skills. The writing center furniture will be used for students to have a quiet place to begin writing their letters and numbers. Gradually they will learn how to spell words and be able to use the writing center every day!
