My students need organizational items like a 3 tier cart with drawers and file carts for the classroom. Having these items will make centers easier to use and it will easy access for both teacher and students. This will ease transitions.
My elementary is located in a high poverty area of Las Vegas, Nevada. One hundred percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. They come from extremely diverse backgrounds, struggle with behavior, academics, and some with second language. These students depend on our school for stability, differentiated learning, and a quality education. Having organizational bins will allow our classroom to neat and organized, while also being functional. These items will promote learning and encourage students to have a sense of respect and community within our classroom.
I want to give my students every opportunity to be successful with learning!
Despite their challenges, they come to school eager to learn. Organizational bins allow student to retrieve needed materials as needed. Having designated space, especially for literacy centers will create structure and independence in learning. As an educator everything I do in my classroom is based on research and what is best for kids.
My Project
My students need a classroom that is organized. Having simple organizational items such as organizational bins and carts on wheels that allow easy access for students makes working in centers so much easier. Having a space designated to specific centers allows for items to be used and stored when not in use. This allows students to collaborate on specific instruction and use requested items easier.
Students will not learn if they are not engaged!
It is not a constructive use of time to allow students to roam the room when they should be engaged and learning. Having designated centers that have supplies organized will allow students easy access. This will encourage students to complete their assignments. The ease of organization with bins, and storage carts is also aesthetically pleasing and invites all students to come sit and learn.
