This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our band of Mighty Scots are a wonderful group. We are reaching amazing potential through motivation, commitment, and natural talent. Most importantly, we understand that goals can only be surpassed if we musically work together to make great things happen in the program.

These musicians look forward to tackling new and artistic challenges daily.

We prepare our success by doing warm-ups and exercises that improve tone, balance, color, and overall musicianship. These concepts help them create wonderful music and provide tools to creating an aesthetic experience.

My Project

Having high tension snares will realistically help our students to experience percussion at an engaging and challenging level. Students will use these instruments in the classroom setting with appropriate music literature. Also, they will be given many chances to play with themselves and for their peers in extracurricular events, pep rallies and recruitment sessions.

Students will use these snares to improve their collaborative skills needed for the 21st century.

When playing these instruments, normal wear and tear will occur and parts of the instrument will become weak or loose. Students will carefully diagnose, detect, and fix problems with the snares to improve the life of these instruments.
